About Miriam's Dance Academy

Miriam’s Dance Academy (MDA) was established in 2017 by Regina Covington as a dance program that offers quality dance education in a faith based environment for the community. We train students from ages 3–18 and offers dancers the opportunity to grown in a holistic way in body, mind and spirit. We strive to grow inspiring dancers to work hard while instilling life lessons, scripture, prayer and building relationships with our dance family. We provide outreach dance performances to serve the community through dance and worship.
Our Mission
Our mission is to be the go to dance school for faith based dance training in Greensboro and the surrounding areas. We desire to cultivate dancers in a faith based environment so that dancers can grow, learn and advance from the foundation of dance to advance levels.
The non-profit organization we serve under provides tangible resources to the less fortunate in the United States and abroad. We are able to provide affordable tuition, scholarships, with the assistance of our nonprofit.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be a 100+ dance studio dancing for the Glory of God. We seek to expand to other cities and dance in other countries reaching others through worship and dance.
What To Expect
During the annual season (September – Early June) your dancer can expect to create lasting memories and forge new friendships through a variety of events:

Free Trial week to select the classes they love most

One annual recital held in May/June that showcase their skills and what they learn during the Spring

Devotion time including scripture teaching on life principles and biblical values

Workshops (by announcement only) led by renowned instructors that provide valuable learning experiences,

Community performances that allow them to share their passion with others (by request only)

Social Gatherings (one per semester) that encourage bonding and collaboration among peers.

Parent Observation weeks (one per semester) to allow parents to see the progress being made in class
