Who We Are

Miriam’s Dance Academy is a Christ-Centered dance academy under H.U.U.R.T. non profit organization. We focus on excellence in building our dance program and providing quality studio practices and performances. We began in 2017 and are located in Greensboro, NC.  Our main genres of dance are liturgical, contemporary, lyrical and modern. Our staff and instructors have a passion to teach, a heart for children and youth and a heart to see our dance academy please God in everything we do.
Currently we do not house a dance studio space. Therefore, our practices are held at the Greensboro Cultural Center.
We teach ages 3-18; however, one day we hope to offer adult classes. We also offer workshops and outreach performances. If you are in need of a workshop for your liturgical dance team or are interested in hosting us at your worship service or event please contact us.

Our Mission

Our mission is to advance the Kingdom of God by building Kingdom dancers through dance and worship.

Our Vision

Our vision is to embrace all races, dance abroad, expanding our worship to others outside of our city, country and into the nations. We want to reach as many people as we can through dance and worship. We seek to bridge the gap between communities offering the love of Christ and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through dance.

Our Core Values

1. Prayer (Philippians 4:6)

Prayer is the foundation of everything we do.

2. Praise and worship (Psalms 139:3-4)

We give God praise and worship him in spirit and in truth.

3. Love (John 3:16)

We share the love of Christ as he has loved us.

4. Life (John 10:10)

We believe in having fun while experiencing joy in spirit, soul and body.

5. Christ Centered (Matthew 6:33)

We seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.

6. Community (Hebrews 13:16)

We love our neighbors as ourselves. We give back our time, our gifts, talents and to our community.

Regina has been teaching children, teens, and adults for over 21 years. She loves to see dancers evolve from infancy stages to mature dancers in Christ. Her desire to see dancers of all ages bloom from where they are to who they are becoming, not only in dance but in their lives.

Regina has a Business Administration degree from NC A&T State University (Greensboro, NC) and a Masters of Business Administration from Ashford University (Des Moines, IA). Her dance training began at the age of twelve at Weaver Dance Academy (Greensboro, NC) where she studied tap, jazz and modern. She continued her journey in dance and cheer throughout high school and became a cheerleading coach at a local middle school at the age of 17 years old, training middle school aged children.

She was mentored and taught liturgical modern dance under Kim Simmons at Power House of Deliverance Spirit Led Performing Arts since the age of 17.  Under this dance ministry she traveled and ministered with the team at worship services and events in many cities. They received extensive dance training in worship spending many long nights and weekends in practices and performances.  Under Kim’s direction she served as Assistant Director and has directed and choreographed a numerous amount of dances and recitals.

Regina currently serves as the dance team leader at Tabernacle International Church and serves on the board of H.U.UR.T. Community Development non-profit. She wants to bring liturgical outside of the four walls of the church so that souls can be reached and lives can be changed everywhere through the gift of dance.

Regina's is an example of a Proverbs 31 woman and is here to serve others through her gift of dance.
